You know how hard it is to convince your family it is time again for family pictures! Well this time Kellee told us it is this week or never........not really, but she is getting surgery this next week so a couple weeks ago she called and said lets take your pictures....we set a date....Boom they're done!
Thank you Kellee so much for all you do for me and my Family. We love you and wish you the best on your surgery!

I feel very blessed to be part of the best community in the world. We recently had a fundraiser for Preslee - a little baby who drown - and through the strength and faith of her parents her memory will live on forever. Many families will be blessed because of the many trials her family had to go through. The girls out here in Paradise stepped up and put together more than enough supplies to help make care baskets for families at Primary Childrens Medical Center and the Ronald McDonald House in Honor of Preslee's Birthday. Some of the girls were able to go to Rigby and personally give the items to Preslee's parents. There is still a group going up next week to take more if there is anything you would like to donate.

It is Bitter Sweet to have to start the process all over again.

We recently learned that our neighbor and friend Tammy Trimble has stage four cancer. Her family has no insurance and she will be starting treatments right away. We will be having a fundraising dinner and auction for her and her family in January at Canyon Elementary. (more info to come) We are looking for donations for the auction and any help and prayers for the family you can offer.

There will be jars in businesses in Paradise and Hyrum for donations and there is also an account set up at America First Credit Union. (Tammy Trimble Fundraising account)

We HOPE as a community we can GIVE more LOVE deeper DREAM bigger so that those in need have the FAITH to pray, the COURAGE to fight, and the STRENGTH to endure.

Halloween!

I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween! We had fun dressing up and putting together costumes. (at the last minute) Rylee and Kody were still a little sore from getting their tonsils out, but we made the journey to school for the first time in 8 days! I am glad that is over! It was the longest 2 weeks of my life.
We went Trunk - R - Treating at the church parking lot and went to our friends house for soup and yummies! Margaret always has such great parties! And the best part is there is always food!
Ty and Rylee dressed up and went around, but Kody wouldn't have any part of it. He wouldn't even put on his costume. We had his costume picked out a while ago, but he just wouldn't wear it that night!
Ty was a rodeo clown that got BLOODY from the bull. Rylee was a little Indian Girl and Kody was supposed to be Woolverine from X-Men.

Kody + Birthday = 3

Yes I know it has been um..........5 months since my last post. Well a lot has happened since then. Maybe when I have a few hours to sit and write I will let you know all about it. Right now I will just focus on the Birthday Boy (3 months ago) ANYWAY....
Kody turned 3! We had such a fun day! He was so excited that he was so BIG! We woke him up in the morning and wished him a Happy Birthday and kept telling him how BIG 3 was. He said " just a minute mom" ran into my bedroom looked in the mirror came running back " Yah - I growed and I am BIG!" I think he ran into the bedroom about ten times that morning to see if he had grown anymore since the last time he checked! We went to McDonalds for lunch because that is where big boys want to eat lunch. That night we had friends and family over for cake and ice cream. He picked out a soccer ball cake. Do you know how hard it is to make black frosting. Finally I went to the bakery at Maceys and they were so kind to sell me some black gel. Funny thing about black frosting....it turns everyone's mouth BLACK ...teeth too!! When it was time to open his big present we had him close his eyes because it was too hard to wrap. He did so good. It is so hard for little ones to keep their eyes shut when they are so excited. As you can see he was so so excited for that BIG BOY bike. He has ridden that thing to death (almost). We love Kody. He is our little scruffy voice, keep us on our toes, full of life, little man. He is a tough little guy who can do anything his older brother can do (can take down his older brother too). He loves anything to do with being outside. He pulls the legs off grasshoppers and wonders why they don't hop away anymore. Usually the first thing he says in the morning is "can I have a popcycle" He lives on popcycles and cereal! We are so thankful for Kody coming in to our lives! We love you little man!

This is how I found him after everyone left! What a BIG day!!

A couple weeks after his Birthday Steph came and helped me clean out the office/junk/ throw everything you don't have a place for/ room and made it Kody's BIG BOY room. He was so excited! He loves it and won't let anyone sleep with him.

Our Little Princess is 5 today!
Isn't it amazing how long 5 years is, but you can remember it like it was yesterday! I still remember the day she was born and the look on Kelly's face when his little princess was put into his arms. Kelly still looks at her like she can do no wrong (I know better). Rylee has such a tender heart and wants everyone to be happy. She loves playing with Barbies and Babies and will spend hours outside with the boys! She love helping no matter what it is. She is playing soccer (kinda - with Dad's help out on the field) and taking swimming lessons. She loves pre-school and can't wait to go to kindergarten in the Fall. That will be a sad day for me and Kody! Rylee's favorite thing in the whole world is to go on a "Daddy Dater-Dot"! When she was 2 Kelly took her on her first Date. She got the words all messed up so from then on her "Daddy Daughter Date" is known as a "Dater -Dot". We love you so much Rylee and Hope you have a Super Duper Happy Birthday!

Isn't it amazing what some food coloring, vinegar, and stickers can do to an egg! My kids had such a fun time coloring their eggs. By the end Kody was just grabbing the eggs out of the color with his hand and dropping it right into another one. The colors were a little messed up by the end. Rylee was so patient. She would leave her egg in until it was just the perfect color and put her stickers on just in the right place. Ty got a little bored by the end so he decided to have a sandwich. I love these fun little memory makers! Happy Easter Everyone!

Car Anyone??????????

OK I really love this car I do!! It gets great gas mileage, it only costs $30 to fill the tank, It's sporty, and peppy (if that is a word), and I even had a guy tell me it was a HOT color! I love zipping around in it and I can park almost anywhere!! SO why am I telling you this? Well - I am selling her:-( My family doesn't fit very well in this car. We are fine unless we all want to go somewhere together as a family. Do people do that anymore? Surprisingly we do!! If Kelly drives there is no leg room in the back seat. Poor Ty is wedged in between the two car seats in the back and complains that he has no room to move his arms and Kody is hitting him and Rylee is laying her head on him because she fell asleep and her head is bobbing on to his.......Anyone need a cute, peppy, sporty, hot, car?????

Is It February Already??????

Because I am just posting Christmas.........

So Yes I have been slacking a bit, but It sure was nice not to HAVE to post something if I didn't want to. Well NOW - I guess I want to. So only 3 months late Here is the Russell Family Christmas Party. We went to Kelly's Mom and Dad's house and ate lots of junk food and Ty read the Christmas story for us this year (he did a wonderful job by the way), then the kids opened their pajamas and we went home to get the kids in bed for the BIG DAY!!

Why YES it IS permanent marker all over his body!! I do mean EVERYWHERE!! If you don't believe me you can ask my sister-in-law Kris. She had the opportunity of changing his bum (that is another story - he is supposed to be going in the toilet not his pants) AAAHHHH - BOYS!!
Anyway - I have been working like a mad woman on the computer the last few days trying to get pictures and cards ordered for people before Christmas. When I sat him down to the counter there was no marker in sight! Well, that doesn't make any difference. THE KID CAN CLIMB!! He came in, stood right beside me, and said " Mom, look a tatoooooo! I thought I would find that he had colored on his hand or something with a crayon. Well - not exactly. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. I just prayed inside that it was washable...........I started the tub and when nothing happened when I sat him in the water my stomach got sick. Then I wondered "what else did he color on?" I found the sharpie on my bed along with a beautiful tatoooooo on my sheets! I guess it is a good thing I don't make my bed very often or it would have been all over my bed spread. Lucky Kid! It's a good thing I love him because I could very easily make a KID FOR SALE sign!

My Family

About 5 years ago we had our last family picture taken. Wow have things changed since then. Three weddings, Nine more grandchildren (with one on the way), and lots more wrinkles!! We were all together for Thanksgiving this year with the exception of our sweet nephew Kyler - who spent Thanksgiving with his mother. Hopefully I can figure out how to photoshop him in one of the pictures. I think it turned out pretty good for as many people were supposed to be looking at the camera. I am so Thankful for my family. We always have such a fun time when we are together. I wish we all lived closer so we can get together more often. I am Thankful for my Parents raising us up right and for all the sacrifices they made for us. So here is my Beautiful Family(if I do say so myself)!

I was going through some pictures I was re-ordering because my photo shop skills were - well - lets just say pretty stinky!! Thank goodness for forgiving family and friends through this past year. Anyway, I found this picture of my sister and had to post it because I just think she is so beautiful! I think she gets more and more beautiful the older she gets. She is so talented and can do almost anything. She gets many phone calls from me asking silly little questions and she always has the best answer or best way to do things. Love ya Di!!

I have been so busy the last few weeks! I went to Wyoming and took senior pictures for my cousin, family pictures for my brothers and sisters, baby pictures for my nephew, came home ......3 weddings, engagements, formals, and more family pictures.....my kids had the flu.......i finally got my hair done after 3 months YIKES!!! That is way to long in between cuts.....because I start chopping on it myself......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will be posting lots of pictures on my photography blog this next week so go check em out!
In the mean time I will leave you with a couple pictures of Kody's birthday (unedited:) Yes his birthday was in JUNE. I guess it is true what they say "better late than never?" His birthday was crazy. We had so many things going on that day so we went to McDonalds for dinner and he got cupcakes from Macey's. He didn't complain so I guess he didn't care much! Hopefully next year will be better for him!!

Good-bye old friend

They day has finally arrived that I have to say good-bye to a good, trusted, reliable, ROOMY, COMFORTABLE friend. I know it is sad, but some times we have to make sacrifices for the things that are most important in life. My photography takes me in to town more often than before so I needed something with better gas mileage, cheaper payment, ....BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. Who knew leasing was not a smart idea???If we would have bought instead of leased we could have both. Any Way! I will miss my girl, but as soon as I make this new little baby my own (not the banks or car dealerships) I will be able to get a new ROOMY, COMFORTABLE friend to join our new little addition. So if you see this little red zipper running around don't forget to wave. AND if you see the kids fighting in the back it's because we have no dvd player and they are sitting way to0 close together. The dvd player with be remedied soon, but the closeness they will just have to deal with. WISH me LUCK!

First for My First

Ty will be turning 7 in August and has finally lost his first two teeth. Here is what went down on his first tooth loosing experience.

Ty came upstairs pretty excited and said he heard a pop from his tooth while he was playing with it. He has been working on it for a few months now. It was bleeding a little and he was a little nervous, but excited at the same time.

He went in the bathroom and tried and tried to get it out, but it wasn't happening. I got him a washcloth for better grip.

He kept looking at it in the mirror and could almost push it out with his tongue.

He looked at me with this sad look and said "I don't feel so good, I think I need to lay down. Good thing he did because he was looking a little pale.

After a few minutes he got back up and tried again. HE DID IT!! He laughed and almost cried at the same time.

He called Aunt Stephy, Grandma and Grandpa Russell and Walker and made me tell the story about 15 times after that. He was pretty excited and I was pretty excited to get that thing out!

The tooth fairy brought him a dollar and he was so excited!
We wrapped a string around his second tooth and after about 30 minutes of trying when he wasn't looking I yanked it out! He was pretty angry until he figured out it didn't even hurt!

We have lots of fun stuff coming up so keep checking.
So back to Memorial Day. Every Year since we have been married we have our annual Chugg Picnic. We go to the park and have sandwiches, salads, and yummy deserts. The highlight of the day is the CANDY CANNON!!! Yes - CANDY CANNON. Kelly's uncle Brent fills a cannon full of gun powder and shoots candy across the park. The kids love it so much. This year was a little different. Grandma Chugg and Grandma Jo got out there with the kids and had just as much fun as the kids did. Now you all have to realize that "Chugg" will be turning 95 years old this September. She is still driving, living on her own, going to club, and attends every home Aggie Basketball Game. What an amazing Woman. She is a Daughter of a Utah Pioneer from Hyrum. The Sorensen Homestead. I love her just as my own grandma and am so excited to be a part of her life. Another Exciting thing that happened that day was Kelly went to a Team Roping in Farmington with over 800 teams. After years of practicing almost every night and getting the confidence up to enter he finally did it. He got his first Buckle. He and his partner took 10th place. I wish you all could have seen his face. He was like a kid that just got 100% on their test. He was so excited and I am so proud of all his hard work and dedication to this sport that he loves! So here are a few pictures from the day.

He did pretty good once we got him to sleep. Sleeping babies make the best pictures! That's what they do most at this age anyway. Congratulations Becky and Greg! You made one handsome little boy.

Princess for a Day!

It was Rylee's Birthday on Thursday and we had such a fun time. She dressed up like a princess all day long. We went to the store to get her cake all dressed up. It was funny watching her through the store. People would look and smile at her and she would stare them down. She wasn't quite sure what to think about all the attention.
We had a Tea Party for her in the morning with a couple of her little friends, and cake and ice cream that evening with Grandma Jo, Grandpa Bob, and Grandma Ghugg. I can't believe she is 4. My little girl is growing up so fast. She will be going to pre-school this fall. She is so excited!

It has Happened! I had hoped this day would NEVER EVER come. I found it this morning after I got back from the gym. I was brushing my hair and it just jumped out and stared at me with it's shiny little coarse smirk. Yes, you guessed it, my first gray hair. Now I have to color my hair for a reason not just for fun! Don't worry I fixed the problem for now, but I have heard that once you get one, it's not long before the others follow.

There is just something about a Grandpa. They don't get much better than mine. While we were at Richard's wedding I was able to take a few pictures of him. He requested one with all the Great Grand kids and I was able to sneak in a couple others here and there. He is always our biggest fan at all our sporting events and supported us in everything we do. He raised an amazing family and loves all of his kids and grand kids so much. I Love you Grandpa!

That's Creepy Dad!!

So-After Katie and Richard's Wedding ceremony I was taking pictures of my family. It is now my Mom and Dad's turn. So I was taking their pictures and posing them and my mom wanted one with them kissing. So my dad starts to kiss her and his eyes are open. What is the number one rule when kissing in a picture. NO OPENING YOUR EYES!! As we say at MBK Photography "it's just creepy". So I told my Dad - "close your eyes Dad it's just creepy!" He busted up laughing so hard. I don't know if it was because he was embarrassed or because it was funny I said that. Anyway - here are a few pictures I got. Love you Dad!!

Good-bye Mr. "bink-d"

So my little baby is growing up. I knew it was time to let Mr. "Bink-D" go when I would hear him wander the house calling out for him. "Bink-D" are you" he would say looking everywhere and not knowing that when he wasn't looking I had taken it and hidden it. So I decided to do the clip the end thing. Well the first time I did it he looked at it funny, but just put it in his mouth and didn't care. The next day it got clipped a little more. He looked a little more confused, stuck his finger inside the silicone and walked around with it on his finger for a while then put it back into his mouth. The next day was the sad day:( It got clipped again. This time he could only hold on to it with his teeth. He kept telling me "uh - oh mom boken". So I would say "OOH gross lets throw it away" NOOOOO MOM!! So two days ago it just disappeared! I thought it would be hard when he went to bed. He keeps asking me about it when he goes to bed or for a nap, but I just tell him it is yucky and broken and it is all gone. He cries for a few minutes, but it is getting better every day. He hasn't even asked for it today. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated. My Baby Boy is Growing Up:( He sure looks a lot better without it in his mouth and we can understand what he says a lot better too!:)

I guess he will just suck his lips now.

WPPI in Vegas

I am so excited to share with you the fun photos we got to take at WPPI in Vegas. What is WPPI - Well I am so excited you asked because it was so amazing. Imagine yourself at a sports arena and all the fans. Well imagine all of the fans with Cameras!!! That is the best way for me to describe how many people were there learning and experiencing more about photography. We were in classes from 8 am until 10 pm for 3 days. The first day we were there we had the opportunity to take pictures of some beautiful models at the Red Rocks in Vegas. One of Kellee Smith's photographer friends set up the event. Ryan Christenson with Innovative Photography. It was such a beautiful place and the models were amazing.

Just a little over a month to go and Richard and Katie will be MARRIED! My parents will finally be "Empty Nesters" I think my mom is a little sad because her "FAVORITE" child will be leaving her. My Ty

Christmas time is always a little hectic, but thanks to our children we take a step back and realize what is really important. All they have to do is say one little thing to make you stop and think. Ty has been so excited about Christmas this year and we always use the "if your not good Santa won't come" way too much. He really has been a good help and is so good to his little brother and sister. So get to the point already HUH!
OK - Christmas Morning Ty came upstairs and told us that Santa had been here and he brought lots of toy. Well, Kelly looks at the clock and it is 2:00am. I don't know about you, but I had been asleep maybe an hour and a half. I told him to go back to bed because Santa doesn't want us to open presents this early. So he goes back down to bed and sets his alarm. Now 7:30 comes around and his alarm goes off. I hear him shut it off and run up the stairs as fast as he can. Kelly was out feeding the animals so I told him to just sit by me until he got back in and then he could go wake up the kids. He could not sit still. I asked if he was excited and he started rattling off all the toys he saw and told me he was so excited. I was excited for him. Then he said "Mom, when I woke up earlier I went in and saw the toys and I got so excited that I wanted to cry. Wait mom I did cry a little bit." His voice started to get a little higher pitched and his hands were clenched together trying to hold in his excitement. " I can't wait mom I am so excited." You could just feel it in his body how excited he was. I am sitting here laughing inside because I can still see the look on his face.
That's when you stop and realize it is about the feelings and the emotions and your kids and your family. Can you remember how you felt when you were a kid? How excited you got and that feeling your stomach was just going to jump out of your body.
I am thankful for Ty for making me realize that It doesn't have to be perfect it just has to be fun and exciting and memorable. The house gets trashed on Christmas day anyway!!
I hope you all had a memorable Christmas!

This if for all you single ladies out there. Yes he is single, he owns a BIKE and he IS a PILOT. He actually can take you for a ride.
I can only do this because he is basically my brother-in-law. Brother to the Weeks family from a few days ago. My sister is married to his brother and he is like family to me. He was a lot of fun to take pictures of and at the end he loosened up a bit.

Oh Little Kody

So let me tell you a little about my day yesterday. Most of you saw my post "A day with Kody" (or 45 min.) Well, It hasn't gotten any better. Maybe a little worse, but not better. Any way - All I wanted to do was fold a little laundry and pick up the downstairs. By the time I got Ty off to school, Rylee out of bed and fed, cleaned up 3 bowls of cereal Kody dumped on the floor because he has to do it himself, it is now 10 am. Yeah!! Kody's nap time. So I put him to bed, got in the shower, and started folding laundry. I was almost done folding when he woke up. I thought I would just hurry and finish before I get him out. Well, Guess who comes around the corner - Yes - Kody. Did you know he could get out of his bed?? Neither did I! So I had Rylee keep him busy for a minute while I finished. I went upstairs to put some towels away and use the Ladies room and came back downstairs and guess what - yes you guessed it - ALL MY LAUNDRY NOT FOLDED ANYMORE!! It is now a cannon ball landing for Kody and Rylee. Was I mad? Of course I was. Did I yell? Of course I did. What did I do? I took all the laundry up to my room and shut the door!! It is now 1:00 and I have to finish getting ready because I was going to take pictures and had to pick up the babysitter from school and be back by 2:50. So I am down getting ready in the salon and Kody wants some goldfish. I open him a little bag and set him in the hallway to eat them while I did my hair. While I was blow drying my hair he went upstairs, pulled about 5 bulbs off the christmas tree and broke 3 of them. I came up to check on him and he showed me his cut finger. We fixed that up and went back downstairs to finish my hair. This time I put the gate up so he wouldn't go back up. Well, he grabbed the bag of goldfish and dumped it all over the salon floor. Did you know no matter how much you sweep up hair you never quite get it all. (bag of goldfish - gone) So by now Celeste has had enough. I grabbed him, I put my hands on his little face and put his face close to mine and told him how naughty he was. No, I was not calm about it. You know what he did? He opened his mouth, gave me a big huge slobbery kiss, and gave me a hug. You know what I did? Started Crying. Did you know that no matter how mad or hurt or disappointed in your children you are all they have to do is smile and everything is all better. So today is a new day. I may not have a clean house or my laundry or dished done. My family might get take-out 5 nights a week or pb&j, but you know what? My kids are not going to remember what we ate or how clean the house was. They are going to remember that mom played dress-up, and basketball, and silly little made-up games that only a 1 year old thinks is funny. One of these days I won't have anyone to clean up after and I am going to be sad. So if you come to my house and it is a mess I'm not going to appologize or be embarrassed (maybe a little embarrassed) because I would rather have happy kids than a spotless house. Like Dr. Laura says " I am my kids Mother" and I love every minute of it!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

No pictures this time. I just wanted to take a minute and tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving! We are staying in Cache Valley this year and going to Kelly's mom's for dinner and majority of the day. I get the easy job of making rolls and I wish she would let me bring more, but I think she likes to try new things. We always have a great dinner and I love, love, love, Grandma Chugg's Stuffing!! Our Meal will consist of Turkey, candied yams, sourcrout & ham, stuffing, potatos, a salad of some sort (new every year), and rolls. My mouth is already watering. I am sure by Kelly's 3rd helping he will do his usual "slop everything together in one big pile and cover it with gravy". He will be too sick and full to move and he will sleep while we clean up and get ready for dessert - yelling at me to come get the kids out of things (mainly KODY). Hope your Thanksgiving is as memorable as mine always is. I am so greatful for all our friends and family. Best wishes and a Big Hug from the Russell's!

Yes, all you Wyoming girls - I just got back from Twilight and it was AWESOME!! Sorry it hasn't gotten to you yet, but it is a must see. Finally - Halloween pictures!

We had a fun Halloween. I love this fun holiday because the kids think it is so fun to get all dressed up and wear their costumes all day (and week at our house). Ty was a NINJA, Rylee was a SPIDER WITCH, and Kody was a little GREEN MONSTER. check out the BINKI!! I first went to Ty's class to take pictures of their class Halloween party. We then went to Diane's to get the rest of the kids ready to go Trick-or-Treating to thier dad and Grandma Jo. They kinda got tricked when they went to see dad. I guess I need to send Candy with him next year. He gave them each a quarter and let them get candy out of the little machine. They saw Grandpa at work too then we went to Grandma Jo's. She gave each of the kids a Dollar Bill and a rice crispy treat! Their favorite!! Then we were off to the Carnival at Providence Elementary school. The kids had fun going down the slides, climbing the rock wall, and doing the cake walk! Ty was upset because Rylee won a cupcake and he didn't. After the carnival we went trick-or-treating down a couple of streets in Providence. My favoite was at the first house Rylee went up to the door and said "trick-or-treat" then turned around and came running back. She didn't quite get it. We had to explain that they give candy if you say that. Kody figured it out after a while and started going up to the door with the other kids and jabbered something and holding out his hand. He got quite a few suckers! It was a fun day, but I am glad it is only once a year. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!!!

So here are my three little subjects. I had Colton over for a few hours and decided to take advantage. It is funny because everywhere I go lately I think about how great of a wall I see or how fun that field would be to take some family pictures or the light would be perfect right now. I know I am a little picture crazy, but I am loving every minute of it.

Kelly's sister Kris invited us to go to a little Halloween day for the little kids. There are a couple of ladies that decorate their whole yard and field for Halloween. They took us on a wagon ride around the field and the little kids got to ride the barrel train. They had such a fun time. I put Kody on the train with Colton (nephew) and off they went. I looked out there after a minute and couldn't see Kody next to Colton anymore. I got a little nervous and thought maybe he fell out, but didn't see him on the ground anywhere. As they got closer I still couldn't see him and figured he was at the bottom of the barrel. Just as they were coming around the last little turn he POPPED his head up with a great big smile under his binki. What a little stinker.

Furniture Shopping with MOM

I had the PRIVELAGE of going furniture shopping with my mom on Monday. It was quite an adventure with Kody and Rylee. Kody wanted to climb on everything in sight and Rylee wanted to just go home. Finally after 4 furniture stores she picked out what she wanted. It was hard to get her to decide because after 35 years of Marriage this is the first time she has actually gone all out and picked exactly what she wanted. I think she did a great job picking it out. Can't wait to see it in her house.

I later found out that the little old farm house we shot at was where Kelly's Grandmother grew up. We had fun in the pasture with the horses who "really" wanted to be in the pictures. I was a bit nervous to post these pictures because I was in a little mentoring session with a couple other girls, but Kellee told me I should. So, I got a new (to me) camera from my friend Kellee Smith momentsbykellee.com. I have been learning to shoot with her so I can take over for her Candid shooter while she has a baby. I am loving every minute of it. I love to see Kellee in action and hope that some day I will be able to understand everything I need to know so she can just set me free at the weddings. I took Rylee, Kody, and my nephew Porter to visit Aunt Stephy a few weeks ago. We had so much fun feeding the fish and watching Uncle Dave train his horses. Porter was so excited about the fish! They kept jumping out of the water and splashing. I'm glad I cought him in action!! He was so fun to watch! We had a good time!

People have been asking me to send pictures of my new kitchen. I finally had a clean kitchen and my camera in hand. RARE Most of you remember the yellow counter tops and out dated cabinets. Doesn't this look much better!! We love our new Kitchen!! Thanks to our neighbors "The Atwoods" for doing such a great job!

There used to be a counter right here, but you could never see it because it was full of clutter and junk! Now we have more pantry space with pull-out shelves.

The other half of the family

I guess I should include the other half of our family too. Here are our two Australian Shephards Dally and Bear. We got Dally about 2 weeks after we had Kody. Yes, I know, twins!!! She is 4 weeks older than Kody so I had to take care of 2 babies. I got Bear for Kelly for his Birthday. He is a Miniature Australian Shephard and won't get much bigger than he is now. He is very mild mannered and has calmed Dally down so much. They love to play all day and the kids will actually go out and play with them now that Dally doesn't jump up on them everytime they walk out the door. I think they are really growing on me. They have cute personalities!!

A Day with Kody

I have tried to explain to people how BUSY Kody is, but I just don't think you can understand without actually seeing it for yourself. I have to say he is busier than Ty and Rylee put together. I decided to follow him around one day with my camera to document just 45 minutes of how my day is. This is the only day I actually let him finish what he started just to let you all see. I did this because right after I got him dressed at 8:30am he got into the toilet and toilet paper and shampoo while I was getting Ty off to the bus. So we had to change him for the second time already this day. Now remember this is only about 45 min. worth of pictures. I got tired of chasing him arouond and cleaning up after him. I hope you enjoy .

Ty's 6th Birthday

So I finally have 10 minutes to post some pictures. All the kids are in bed and I am going to play catch up on my Blog.

We had a surprise party for Ty on his 6th Birthday. We rented a bounce house and all the kids were hiding in it when we pulled up. He ran over to see why we had that "HUMUNGUS" thing in our yard and all the kids jumped up and surprised him. We had lots of fun jumping, eating popcycles, cake & ice cream, and punch. Needless to say the kids all went home on a sugar high!

This was the castle bounce house and all his friends that could make it. We recruited a couple of the older siblings along the way.

He picked out the 4-wheeler cake the night before thinking it was just for the family. It looked so good he couldn't wait until I cut it!

His dad gave him a TRAINING pocket knife. He thought that was pretty cool!

His favoite thing to get was his saddle. He was so excited he wanted to go saddle Jenny up and give all the kids rides on his new saddle.

So look what my 5 Year old is doing now! He always tells Kelly he is going to go get Jenny, but always ends up needing our help. TODAY he did it all by himself. Good old Jenny - she is so good with the kids! They can get on her and ride her all by themselves and she takes such good care of them. She minds very well and never has taken off with them. Ty will ride her for an hour around the pasture. She is so patient and Ty thinks he is a REAL Cowboy now.

To the trailer they go. It was so fun to watch - I wish you could see his face better - he was so proud!! Off they go to rope!!

Ropin' on the 24th

So We went to a youth rodeo on the 24th of July and Ty entered to rope the dummy calf. He was so excited and couldn't wait until it was time for him to go down in the arena. He finally got down there, waited for his turn, and they skipped over his name. Kelly went and straightened everything out and finally it was his turn.

The Willows

WOW! What a fun time we had at the Willows! My Friend Torrie came to visit from California and My other friend Heidi invited us to stay at her families house in Samaria Idaho! It is known to the locals as "THE WILLOWS". It was a perfect place to visit and let the kids run and not worry about what time we had to be home. It was so fun to see Torrie and her kids - Gracie, Maddie, Cole, and Ty. It is amazing how you can just pick up where you left off. It has been 2 years since we have seen her. We all added one more to our pack of kids, the older kids just keep getting smarter, and we wonder what will happen the next year.?! Maybe next year we will go visit her - if she wants 10 extra guests!!

Kody was taking a few steps before we went, but something about the open grass kids everywhere made him just take off! Now he is almost running!

Ty woke up every morning and put his suit on and didn't take it off until bed. He has so much fun in the water.

Rylee got a few bug bites on her face and we put cream on them. Doesn't she look so sad and cute at the same time. I think I might just want to bite her bottom lip.

Boston was born in December, Kody was born in June, and TY was born in July.

Kellee Smith and her kids invited us to go to the zoo with them and we had the best time. Although it took us well over 2 hrs to get there (many stops along the way) The kids were so excited when we got there. We rode the train first and they all thought that was great.

Kody was not happy until we let him down on the dirt. His little binki was found in the water several times. I guess he will be immune to a lot!!

The other day Rylee told me that she had dry

Cheeks and wanted to put cream on them. I

thought nothing of it because she has done this

many times before. Well, about ten minutes later

and she comes out looking like a little ghost. I got

after her a little and she came back with "but mom,

they were really dry".

Kody's Birthday Party

Kody had two parties for his first birthday. We were in Wyoming for his real birthday so we celebrated it with the Wyoming clan. I wanted everyone to see how much he liked to eat frosting so I had to do it again back in Paradise. Yes he's so cute. "Chugg" is trying to hold his hands away from the candle. He wasn't interested much in opening presents once he saw the balls. He got really messy again and loved every bit of the frosting. Thanks everyone for making this such a fun day!

Kelly's Canada Trip

Kelly went on his first bear hunt the end of May. No, he didn't get anything, but had a great time trying. This is the Monster Wolf his buddy shot.

Here he sat in his tree stand for most of the night. He said it wasn't too comfortable sitting on 2x4's for that long. He heard lots of wolves, but never saw any.

He wants to go back because it was so beautiful. Even though he didn't get a bear or a wolf he had a great time. We are glad he is back!!
